Walkden sex attack man, 44, is jailed
A SEX offender has been jailed for five-and-a-half years for assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
Robert Mather, aged 44, of Wesley Court, Walkden, was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on Wednesday after he was found guilty of sexual assault by penetration at a trial last month.
Mather committed the offence at a house in Bolton in May last year.
The mother of the victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, said: "I hate him. My daughter went to court because she wanted to hear the sentence but she couldn't look at him.
"She just wants to forget it now and get on with her life."
