A CALL for more energy suppliers to introduce lower tariffs for their most vulnerable customers has been made by David Crausby.
The Bolton North-east MP wants more to be done to protect the elderly in the face of rising bills.
He is backing a House of Commons motion calling for "social tariffs" protecting groups like the elderly.
Mr Crausby said: "I'm calling on all energy suppliers in the UK to follow the lead set by British Gas and EDF Energy to introduce social tariffs for their most vulnerable customers to mitigate the worst effects of recent rises."
