BLACKBURN manager Mark Hughes has joined the queue of clubs - including Wanderers - wanting to sign Robbie Fowler if the striker does not earn a new contract at Liverpool after this season.
The former England forward returned to Anfield in a shock move in January and was given six months to prove his worth.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has yet to make a decision on Fowler's future and that has alerted a number of clubs, with Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce and now Hughes looking on with some interest.
"Robbie's been a top player for a long time," said Hughes, whose side entertain Liverpool at Ewood Park tomorrow.
"You don't lose that skill and touch overnight. His movement is amazing and he's looking very good.
"Robbie has always been a very clever player. His ability to take chances is something he has never lost, he was born with that.
"If he became available I'm sure a number of clubs would be interested. He's the type of player I would ask about. We'll see what the situation is."
